Steve Hodgin was the 4th and winningest coach in Tuscola football history. In his time at Tuscola, Hodgin finished with a winning percentage of .800 as he won 26, lost 6, and tied 1. Over the years, Hodgin has become a big name in the state of North Carolina. Following his work at Tuscola in the late 1970's, Hodgin became an assistant coach to the legendary Bob Waters at Western Carolina University and then took over as the Catamounts' head coach in 1990 following Waters' death. Hodgin was honored in 1992 with the Southern Conference (SoCon) coach of the year award for his work at WCU. Hodgin has recently served as principal in several Guilford County Schools.
